BURLINGTON, Vt. – The #18 University of Maine men's ice hockey team fell to Vermont, 5-2, in the regular season finale on Saturday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse.
Vermont took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission, scoring four minutes into the contest and then again with two to play in the period.

Josh Nadeau pulled Maine within a goal less than aminute into the middle frame but Vermont responded with a power-play tally.
Miguel Marques scored with less than a minute to play in the second for a one-goal game after 40 minutes. Vermont then went up by two again, 4-2, early in the third. The Black Bears pulled
Mathis Rousseau late in the third period and
Owen Fowler scored to again make it a one-goal game but the Catamounts closed out the contest with an empty-netter for the 5-3 final.
