Last Time Out -- The Black Bears were defeated by UMass Lowell in their last game, 91- 77.

Logan Carey had a career-high 28 points while the Black Bears forced 18 turnovers.

Lean on the Defense -- The Black Bears are once again showing that their one of the top defenses in all of the NCAA. After a mid-season spike that saw their defense jump into the 100's in the NCAA, the Black Bears have been playing some of the best defense in all of the NCAA to help drop their PPG allowed to just 68.9, the 60th-best mark in all of the NCAA and top of the America East.

Maine is also allowing just 30.4% of three-pointers to fall, the 46th-best mark in the NCAA, which leads the America East, along with their 7.9 steals per game, the 81st-best mark in the country.

Rookie of the Week - The Black Bears earned their first conference weekly award of the season after their first 2-0 week of the season back against UAlbany and Binghamton, earned by freshmen forward, Ace Flagg. Flagg averaged 11.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG and 4.0 APG during the week as the Black Bears defeated both UAlbany and Binghamton in Orono. Flagg scored a career-high 12 points against the Great Danes.

Impactful Players -- Logan Carey, Mekhi Gray and TJ Biel have been staples of the Black Bears recent surge in the America East standings. Biel leads the trio in PPG at 14.5 in conference only games., followed by Gray's 13.0 and then Carey at 12.3. Carey has dished out 21 assists and swiped 19 steals in the lead guard position while Gray has averaged 15 PPG in his last three games.

Series History -- This will be the 156th meeting all-time between these two historic rivals and their second meeting of the 2025-26 season. Vermont holds the all-time lead at 84-71, including a narrow 67-62 victory back on Jan. 15. Keelan Steele had 17 points with TJ Biel had 12 points and seven rebounds.
