ALBANY, N.Y. – Behind
Elena Barenberg's first career shutout and a goal from
Julie Lossius, the University of Maine women's soccer team defeated UAlbany, 1-0, in the America East opener on Sunday afternoon at Bob Ford Field at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.

Jordane Pinette to stake the Black Bears to the early lead. A few minutes later, Barenberg kept it a 1-0 scoreline with a diving stop to her left as a Great Dane broke into the box.
