Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine men's basketball program announced on Thursday morning their non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season.
The Black Bears, who are coming off of a 20-14 season and their first trip to the America East Finals since 2004, are set to open the season on Monday, Nov. 3 at George Washington as part of a three-game road trip.
After stops at Stony Brook on Saturday, Nov. 8 and Rutgers on Monday, Nov. 10, Maine returns to Orono for their home opener against Quinnipiac on Sunday, Nov. 16. Maine takes on the Bobcats for the second-straight season, suffering a narrow defeat last season by a final score of 58-55 in Hamden.
After a quick one-game trip to Merrimack on Wednesday, Nov. 19, the Black Bears return to Orno to take on Brown on Sunday, Nov. 23. Maine picked up the victory against Brown last season, 69-67.
Maine kicks off their longest road-trip of the non-conference season on Friday, Nov. 28-Sunday, Nov. 30 as they will take place in an MTE hosted by American. Longwood and Siena are also competing in the three-day tournament.
The Black Bears stay on the road for three more games with stops at Ohio on Wednesday, Dec. 3, Miami of Ohio on Saturday, Dec. 6 and Boston University on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Maine concludes their non-conference schedule with two of their last three games at home, starting off with Canisius on Saturday, Dec. 13. The Black Bears defeated Canisius last season, 84-79.
After a trip to Drexel on Sunday, Dec. 21, the Black Bears wrap up the non-conference schedule on Tuesday, Dec. 30 against UMFK.
