Orono, ME – The University of Maine baseball team fell against Binghamton on Friday afternoon.

Maine got on the board in the second inning as
Damon Gaither singled home
Drew Reynolds (3B) on a ball to center field.
Maine scored three runs in the seventh inning, starting off with a solo home run by
Chris Bear, his third of the season.
Aidan Bardi singled home
Evan Menzel (BB) before Gaither drew a bases-loaded walk to score
Brody Rasmussen.
Black Bear Pitchers:
Colin Fitzgerald went 6 and 2/3 in the start, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.
Jack Donlin recorded one out to end the seventh inning before
Pierce Friedman (1-1) took over in the eighth inning. Friedman allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and a strikeout.
Alex Primeau (2 ER),
Brennan Rumpf (2/3 of an inning, 1 ER) and
Luc Lavigueur (1/3 of an inning) combined to pitch the ninth inning.
