Lewisburg, PA – The University of Maine baseball team picked up their third win of the season against Bucknell on Friday afternoon.

Black Bears Scoring Breakdown:'

Quinn Murphy got the Black Bears on the board in the seventh inning as he had an RBI groundout to second base, scoring Myles Sargent (3B).

Payton Whitehead gave the Black Bears the lead in the top of eighth inning as he hit a two-run home run to right field, scoring Brody Rasmussen (E1) on the play. The home run was his third of the season.
Black Bear Pitchers:

Colin Fitzgerald (2-2) turned in his second-straight quality start as he went 7 and 2/3 innings, allowing two runs (1 earned) on 6 hits, 1 walk and striking out 7.

Sebastian Holy (1) picked up the save as he went 1 and 1/3 in relief, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 2 as he picked up his first save of the season.

Bucknell Recap:

Bucknell scored two runs in the sixth, one of which was unearned.

Tyler O'Neill (1-3) picked up the loss as we allowed 3 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits and 7 strikeouts in 7 and 2/3 innings of work.
