Little Falls, NJ – The University of Maine baseball team was shutout in the series finale at NJIT on Sunday afternoon.
Black Bear Pitchers:
Gianni Gambardella (1-2) turned in his best outing of the season as he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, 1 walk and he tied his career-high with 7 strikeouts in 5 and 1/3 innings of work.
Owen Wheeler was first out of the bullpen in relief, where he recorded the final two outs of the sixth frame, allowing 1 hit, 1 walk and striking out 1.
Jason Libby pitched the seventh frame, allowing no runs on 2 hits, 3 walks and 2 strikeouts.
