Orono, ME – The University of Maine baseball team fell against Husson in their home opener at Mahaney Diamond.

Black Bears Scoring Breakdown:

Drew Reynolds got Maine on the board in the third inning with his third home run of the season, a two-run shot to right field. Will Burns (2B) scored on the play.

Maine scored three runs in the fourth, one a sac-fly by Burns to score Evan Menzel (2B) and the other two on a two-run home run by Myles Sargent. The home run was his fourth of the season and Aidan Bradi (1B) scored on the play.

Menzel brought home a run in the seventh inning on a sac-fly to left field, scoring Chris Bear (2B).

Payton Whitehead hit his fourth home run of the season in the bottom of the ninth inning, a solo shot to left field.
