Queens, NY – The University of Maine baseball was defeated on Sunday afternoon at St. John's in the series finale.
Black Bears Scoring Breakdown:
Drew Reynolds got Maine on the board in the third as he hit a sac-fly to center field, scoring
Aidan Bardi (1B).
Maine scored a pair of runs in the fourth as
Payton Whitehead (1B) scored on a fielder's choice before Bardi brought home the second run on a single to center field, scoring
Quinn Murphy (1B).
Dean O'Neill hit his second home run of the season in the eighth inning, a solo shot to left field on the first pitch of the at-bat.
Myles Sargent capped off the Black Bears scoring with a two-run home run in the ninth, his second of the year.
Chris Bear (HBP) scored on the play.

Gianni Gambardella made his first start of the season as he went 4 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, 2 walks and 1 strikeout.
Owen Wheeler (0-3) went 2 innings in relief as he allowed 4 runs on 3 hits, 3 walks and 1 strikeout.
Brennan Rumpf went 2/3 of an inning, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 1 hit and 1 walk.
