Queens, NY – The University of Maine baseball fell in a one-run contest at St. John's on Saturday afternoon.
Black Bears Scoring Breakdown:
Maine scored a pair of runs in the opening frame as
Drew Reynolds (1B) scored on an E1 and
Dean O'Neill (1B) scored on a sac-fly by
Will Burns.
Brody Rasmussen plated a run in the third frame as he hit a sac-fly to right field, scoring
Chris Bear (2B).
Rasmussen (HBP - SB) added onto his day with a three-run home run to left field, his second home run of the season.
Aidan Bardi (HBP) and
Myles Sargent (2B) scored on the play.
Rasmussen scored another run in the eighth inning on a throwing error by the pitcher.

Caleb Leys went 5 innings on the mound in the start, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits, 3 walks and striking out 6.
Luc Lavigueur (0-2) was the lone man out of the bullpen on Saturday as he allowed 4 runs (3 earned) in 3 and 2/3 innings of work. He allowed 5 hits, 1 walk and struck out 1.
