Preview: Track and Field competes in Crimson Elite, Scarlett and White Invite

Orono, ME - The University of Maine track and Field programs will compete in two meets this weekend. The Harvard Crimson Elite meet on Friday February 7 and the Boston University Scarlet and White Invite on Saturday Feb 8.

SPECTATORS: It is highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance for all BU Home Meets. Once capacity is reached, we will have to turn spectators away!

Parking: Parking around the Boston University Track and Tennis Center is very limited. Limited parking is available for cars and vans in metered spaces on local streets for a maximum of four hours (follow City of Boston parking signs). Limited all-day parking for cars and vans (8'2" clearance) is available in Langsam Garage located at 142 Gardner Street, Boston, MA 02215 for $12 on meet days. Overflow parking may be available in other University lots. Please reference posted and distributed Parking Advisories for the most up to date parking information. For those wishing to take the subway ("the T"), the cost is $2.40 each way. Use the Green Line/Babcock Street stop, and the track is a short 2-3min walk. DO NOT parking in the Star Market parking lot across from the track or you may be towed.

Athletes to Watch:

Charlie Collins: Collins is coming off of competing in the Terrier Classic this past weekend and competed in the 1500 where he finished with a time of 3:49.97. He competed in the mile where he finished with a time of 4:07.82 along with the 5000 with a time of 14:31.50.

Ned Farrington: Farrington is coming off of competing in the Terrier Classic this past weekend and competed in the 1500 where he finished with a time of 3:49.44. He competed in the mile where he finished with a time of 4:06.64 along with the 5000 with a time of 14:24.01.

Helen Shearer: Shearer is coming off of her 1st meet of the season where she ended the 3k event with a time of 9:46.46 and she now holds 3rd place all time in the record books.

Catherine Primavera: Primavera is coming off of competing in the Terrier Classic this past weekend and competed in the 400 where she finished with a time of 59.14.
