ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine track and field program opens their Indoor portion of their schedule at the Sharon Colyear Season Opener in Boston Massachusetts on Saturday December 6. The Sharon Colyear Season Opening meet is hosted by Boston University and will be held at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center. The Black Bears will also be competing at the Harvard Classic on Saturday December 6 at the Gordon Indoor Track hosted by Harvard University.

Highlight Athletes:
Andrew Card - Card is returning for his junior season with the Black Bears. Card last season saw success in both the 300 and the 400 capturing 3 first place finishes throughout the indoor campaign last season.
Miles Gay - Gay is returning for his junior campaign with the Black Bears. Gay saw success in the 2024-25 Indoor campaign in the 60, 500 and the 4x400 relay capturing top 5 finishes in each of those events.
Cole Martin - Martin is returning for his junior campaign with the Black Bears. Martin saw success in the short sprint style events capturing back to back first place finishes in the 60 to open up the 2024-25 Indoor portion of the year.
Cheyenne Figueroa - The senior is returning for another season leading the throwing program for the Black Bears. Figueroa is looking to defend her America East Conference title in the Weight Throw after winning the Conference title with a distance of 18.84m (61' 9.75").
Saphryn Humason - The sophomore returns to the Maine program after a strong freshman campaign. Humason saw success in both the Triple Jump and the Long Jump capturinhg top 5 finishes throughout the indoor campaign last season.
Maddie Cyr - Cyr returns for her sophomore campaign with the Black Bears. Cyr last season competed in the 60, 200, 400 and 4x400 which included a 1st place finish in last year's University of Maine Multi Invite in the 400.
