Box Score NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - Freshman netminder Kiia Lahtinen made 19 saves to backstop the University of Maine women's ice hockey team to a 3-0 win over Merrimack College on Saturday at Lawler Rink. Maine heads home with four Hockey East points after today's win. 

Kendall Sundby struck first for Maine, just three and a half minutes into the game off a shot from the red line. Stephanie Jacob picked up the assist, on what would be the eventual game-winner. 

Halfway into the second period, Elise Morphy buried a rebound in front to widen Maine's lead. Lily Fetch and Alyssa Wruble earned assists. 

With 25 seconds left to play, Alyssa Wruble sealed the deal scoring an empty-net goal leading to Maine's 3-0 win. Raegan Wurm and Jamie Grinder each tallied an assist.

Maine's record improves to 10-20-2 (9-14-2 HE) as they continue to fight for the sixth seed in the Hockey East standings.

Kiia Lahtinen's perfect game registers as her second career shutout. 
Maine outshot Merrimack 27-19, with senior defender Jamie Grinder leading the way with five shots on goal. 
The Black Bears won 22 of 49 faceoffs, for a 53.7% win percentage. 
Both teams killed 2-of-2 penalties successfully.
