Orono, ME - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced on Friday morning that four Black Bears were named Scholars of Distinction for the 2024 fall semester.

To earn the honor of being named a Scholar of Distinction, a undergraduate student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester and be nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

The four Black Bears who earned the honor were:
Floor Dijkhuizen
Brynn Dzengelewski
Maeve Fogarty
Taylor Katsube
