Preview: Maine hosts #15 Brown University for 'Maine State Pride' game in Portland, Dec 30

ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team will host the #15 ranked Brown University Bears on Tuesday, Dec 30 in Portland, Maine. The 'Maine State Pride' game will take place at the Cross Insurance Arena with a 5:00 pm start time. The Black Bears will wear their new alternate jerseys, sponsored by Key Bank, in their final non-conference game of this season.

BLACK BEARS LAST TIME OUT:
  • Maine picked up three conference points in their last series on Dec 5/6 against New Hampshire. 
  • On Friday, Maine won 4-3 in overtime. On Saturday, the game ended in a tie, with New Hampshire earning the shootout win.
  • Danielle Brunette and Stephanie Jacob each scored two goals over the weekend, with Kendall Sundby scoring the game-winning goal on Friday. 
  • Goaltender Kiia Lahtinen played in goal both nets for Maine.
