BOSTON – The University of Maine women's soccer team had four student-athletes earn 2025 America East All-Conference honors, which were announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Luise Reinwald received second-team honors while
Elena Barenberg was named to the America East All-Rookie Team.
Julie Lossius and
Abbey Thornton earned spots on the America East All-Academic Team.

Reinwald, a midfielder, has started all 15 games for the Black Bears this season and leads the team with 1,224 minutes played. The Munich, Germany native has played 90 minutes in the last six contests, all against America East opponents. Reinwald recorded one goal and one assist in conference play. The junior scored the game-winning goal in the regular season finale to lift Maine to a win over New Hampshire and into a playoff hosting position. Reinwald was named to the 2023 America East All-Rookie Team.

Barenberg started all eight America East regular season contests at the goalkeeper position, going 3-3-2 to lead all first-year goaltenders in wins while posting a 1.13 goals against average and two shutouts. In the America East opener at UAlbany, the Cologne, Germany native became the first true freshman to record a shutout in a regular season America East conference game since 2021. Barenberg is 4-4-2 overall on the season.

Lossius is a Finance and Business Information Systems & Security Management double major with a 3.94 cumulative GPA while Thornton is a nursing major with a 3.96 GPA. Both earned their first career academic team honor. Lossius, a captain, and Thornton have both started all 15 games for the Black Bears and each have three goals and one assist for seven points. With Lossius and Thornton earning All-Academic honors, Maine has an America-East leading 38 all-time selections to the academic squad.
