PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Rozárie Mrázová made a career-high 11 saves, include one on a penalty stroke, but Brown's one first half goal would be the difference as the Black Bears dropped the non-conference contest, 1-0.

Zity Cohen's penalty stroke goal at 21:52 ended up being the game-winner for Brown.

Mrázová, who saved all five shots she saw in the second half, came up big in the cage as she shut down Lucy Adams' penalty stroke try in the 38th minute to keep the deficit at one goal.

The Bears held a 12-4 edge in shot and a 10-3 advantage on penalty corner. 

Maine returns to America East play on Friday, Oct. 10 when it travels to take on New Hampshire in the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle at 2 p.m.
