Orono, ME - The University of Maine field hockey program moved to 4-1 on the season as they shutout Central Michigan on Sunday afternoon in Orono.
Kate Richardson got the scoring going as she scored her second goal of the season on a tap-in goal set up by
Bhreagh Kennedy (1).
Saylor Kuefler scored the second and final goal of the afternoon as she scored on a one-timer shot in front of the net on series of great passes by Richardson (1) and Kennedy (2).
Rozárie Mrázová recorded her first career shutout in net for the Black Bears as she stopped all three shots she faced in net.
Maine (4-1) looks to continue their best start to a season since the 2018 season with a two-game road trip to take on Boston College and Boston University. Those games are on Friday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 15, respectively.
