Box Score Boston, MA - The University of Maine field hockey program was defeated by Boston University on Sunday afternoon, 2-1.
 
After a scoreless first half, Boston University got on the board first with a goal in the 31' minute on a penalty corner.
 
Maine got on the board in the 51' minute as Alexandra Sacker scored her second goal of the season on the penalty corner. Victoria Tinghitella (2) picked up the assist as she fired the pass across the circle to Sacker.
 
Boston University responded with a goal in the 54' minute off of a penalty corner.
 
Rozárie Mrázová finished with four saves in the contest.
 
Maine (4-3) returns to Orono for their next three contests, which will begin on Saturday, Sept. 21 when they host Merrimack College. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 P.M.
