Box Score Newton, MA - The University of Maine was defeated by #17 Boston College on Friday night, 4-2.
 
Boston College jumped in front early in the first quarter but the Black Bears answered back quickly in the opening quarter as Olivia Geniti netted her second goal of the season on a ball sent in front of the net and deflected off of the official.
 
Boston College scored a goal in the 27' minute to take a 2-1 lead into halftime.
 
Boston College scored their third goal of the game in the 42' minute.
 
The Black Bears answered back in the 47' minute as Olivia Geniti scored her third goal of the season and second of the afternoon as she battled for the rebound and scored on the first penalty corner for the Black Bears on the night.
 
Boston College scored their fourth and final goal of the contest on a penalty corner in the 56' minute.
 
Rozárie Mrázová finished with four saves in the contest.
 
Maine (4-2) continues their quick road trip on Sunday as they take on Boston University. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 P.M.
