ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine track and field teams competed at the University of New Hampshire for a two-day Pre-Conference Meet to prepare for the America East Outdoor Championship that will take place next weekend.

Notable Women's Performances:

• Lydia Gilmore placed first in the 5000m run with a time of 18:07.20.
• Jordan Ramos placed second, behind Gilmore, with a time of 19:26.14.

Notable Men's Performances:

• Ben Cotton placed third in the 100m dash with a time of 11.21. Cotton also placed sixth in the 200m dash. 
• Will Murphy placed first in the triple jump with a distance of 13.96m. Murphy also placed third in the high jump with a distance of 1.87m.
• Jonathan Prell took first in the shot put event, throwing 16.64m.
• Marek Veal placed third in the discus event, throwing 47.20m.

Up Next:
The team travels to Baltimore, Maryland on May 4-5 to compete in the America East Outdoor Championships.
