BOSTON, Massachusetts -- The University of Maine women's track and field program competed in the Scarlet and White Invite hosted by Boston University on Saturday January 24.
In the 200m Dash,
Bayleigh Shanahan led the way for the Black Bears as their top overall finisher with a time of 26.42, finishing 36th overall.Â
Catherine Primavera took home a 37th overall finish with a time of 26.45.
Maddie Cyr rounded out Maine's top three with a 42nd place finish and a time of 27.17.
In the 800m,
Toni Vaillancourt finished as Maine's top finisher with a 19th place finish and a time of 2:18.67.
Bri Harriman finished 28th overall with a time of 2:29.74 competing as Maine's only other runner in the event.
In the 1000m,
Kara Tschida led the way for Maine with a time of 3:00.75, finishing 16th overall.
Meredith Walters finished 21st overall with a time of 3:04.33 while Abby Rodriquenz finished 22nd overall with a time of 3:04.52.
In the Mile, freshman
Evelyn Wool (30th overall - 5:11.38)Â and
Lila Garbett (32nd overall - 5:12.98) finished as Maine's top two finishers.
Veselja Treacy finished as Maine's top overall finisher at 12th place in the 3000m with a time of 9:56.72.
Kennedy Taylor finished 22nd overall with a time of 10:15.19.
Katelyn Macnamara finished 26th overall with a time of 10:17.78.
Ruby Krasnow took home a first place finish in the 5000m run with a time of 16:53.83 winning the event by over 10 seconds.
Lauren Hamilton finished 5th overall with a time of 18:03.06.
Grace Lambert rounded out the field of Black Bears with a 12th place finish with a time of 19:02.92.

Athena Cusson finished the High Jump event in 13th place with a height of 1.45m.
Lydia White finished the Pole Vault event in a tie for 12th place overall with a height of 3.15m.
Athena Cusson finished the Long Jump event in 9th place with a distance of 5.09m and Saphryn Humason finished 10th overall with a distance of 4.96m.
Saphryn Humason finished the Triple Jump event in 7th place overall with a distance of 11.55m.
Julia Bassi finished the Shot Put event in 9th place overall with a distance of 12.66m.
Cheyenne Figueroa finished 20th overall with a distance 11.12m.
Cheyenne Figueroa finished Weight Throw event in 6th place overall with a distance of 16.60m.
Sabine Sites finished in 16th place with a distance of 13.16m.
The Black Bears return to action next weekend as they take on the BU Terrier Classic and the Harvard Invitational Friday January 30th and Saturday January 31st.
