Orono, Maine - The University of Maine track and field teams opened up their outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays and UConn Dog Fight Invite this past weekend. 

Raleigh Relays:

• Luke Marsanskis set a new school record for the 10000m event by over a minute, as he checked in with a time of 28:56.90.
• Alec Troxell ran the 10000m event as well, earning a time of 30:31.28 which checks in for fifth place all-time in the Maine record book. 

UConn Dog Fight:

• Cole Martin placed third in the 100m event with a time of 10.69. Martin also placed sixth in the 200m event.
• Conner Michaud placed first in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.51.
• Matt Firlings placed second in the 800m with a time of 1:57.96.
• Adam Bendetson placed second in the 3000m with a time of 8:50.59.
• Jonathan Prell came in third in shot put with a distance of 16.34m.
• The men's 4x100 relay team consisting of Josh Sewell, Andrew Card, Conner Michaud, and Miles Gay placed first. 
• The men's 4x100 relay team consisting of Ben Cotton, Ralph Cruz, Cole Martin, and Rowan Carter placed third. 
• Marlee Yoder placed second in the 5000m run with a time of 18:12.83.
• Mackenzie Wilson broke the school record in the hammer throw with a distance of 62.03m.
