The Black Bears were able to back within five late in the second half before Binghamton moved back to an eight-point lead heading into halftime at 39-31.
Peter Filipovity had a game-high 13 points and a game-high seven rebounds in the first half.
Quion Burns (8) and Kellen Tynes (6) rounded out the top-three scorers for Maine.
Maine came out in the second half and went on a 16-2 run to take control of the contest and take the lead at 47-41 right after the first media timeout of the second half.
Maine held their lead in the second half until 3:41 remaining in the half as Binghamton jumped back in front at 60-58.
40 minutes wasn't enough on the night to decide a winner as regulation concluded at a score of 62-62.
Binghamton was able to outlast the Black Bears in overtime as they came away with the victory, 76-74.
Filipovity finished with a team-high 17 in the contest and a career-high 14 rebounds.
Tynes finished with 16 points while Burns had 13 off the bench for Maine.
Jaden Clayton ended with 12 points, two assists and two steals. Adam Cisse finished with four blocks on the defensive end for the Black Bears.
