Orono, ME - The University of Maine men's basketball team picked up their second-straight victory as they defeated NJIT on Saturday afternoon, 68-58.
Neither team took more than a six-point advantage in the first half, with NJIT gaining a small edge in the scoring department as they carried a 30-25 lead into the break.
Peter Filipovity had nine points to lead the Black Bears in scoring.
Adam Cisse chipped in seven points and two rebounds for the Black Bears.
Maine came out and took control of the contest as they went on a 17-1 run midway through the second half to take a 10-point lead, a lead that they wouldn't surrender for the rest of the afternoon.
The Black Bears grabbed the victory, 68-58.
Filipovity ended with a game-high 21 points and seven rebounds.

Jaden Clayton (12) reached double-digits in scoring to help lead the Black Bears to victory.
Maine (13-15, 5-8 AE) heads on the road for a two-game road trip to New York as they take on Binghamton and UAlbany in their next two games.
