ORONO, Maine - University of Maine Athletics is excited to announce that Maine women's ice hockey fans can become season ticket holders beginning in the 2024-25 season. Fans are encouraged to act swiftly and become the first season membership holders in program history.
"This represents an exciting, new opportunity for our university, our incredible student-athletes, and our loyal fans," says Joan Ferrini-Mundy, President of the University of Maine and the University of Maine at Machias. "We are very thankful for the ongoing support from our community members that enables our women's hockey program to flourish."
Those who commit will lock in a seat for all 14 of the exciting contests at Alfond Arena.
The Black Bears join Boston University, UConn, Merrimack College, University of New Hampshire, Northeastern, and Vermont as Hockey East schools with women's ice hockey season ticket structures.
Season tickets for the 2024-25 women's ice hockey season will be available for sale on March 19, 2024. Those who purchase tickets before April 23, 2024 will receive a commemorative gift for becoming an inaugural season ticket holder.
Fans may purchase a half-season ticket for $70 or become a full-season member for $122. Renewal By Andersen Club seats are also available with options for a half-season ticket ($237) or full season ($313). All season tickets, except those in the club level, are general admission.
"This is an exciting time for Maine women's hockey and a historical step for the program. We believe in the product we are bringing to the Alfond and we are looking forward to continuing to build relationships with our fans," says women's hockey head coach Molly Engstrom.
