ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team dropped Friday's contest to #13 Boston College by a score of 3-1.
Gracie Hanson notched Maine's lone goal, the first of her career, after the Eagles pumped two goals in during the first period for an early two-goal lead. Hanson's goal was assisted by Mira Seregély and
Raegan Wurm in the second period.
The Black Bears outshot the Eagles 32-25, with Maine netminder
Kiia Lahtinen making 22 saves.
Maine held off Boston College, killing 3-of-3 penalties successfully.
The two teams face off again on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 6:00 pm at Alfond Arena.
