BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team fell to #15 Boston University on Friday at Agganis Arena, by a score of 1-2.
The first period came with all three goals of the game, starting with the Terriers tallying two goals less than a minute apart to take the lead roughly halfway through the period. Fifteen seconds later, sophomore forward
Sam Morrison responded with a goal for Maine, off a tip from
Danielle Brunette's shot.
Raegan Wurm also tallied an assist on the Black Bears' lone goal.
The second and third periods went scoreless as the Terriers hung on to their lead. Maine killed off five penalties successfully and went 0-for-3 on power play opportunities.
Freshmen
Kiia Lahtinen played in goal for her first career start, making 36 saves for the Black Bears.
