ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine softball team and head coach
Jordan Fitzpatrick announced the schedule for the upcoming 2024 season today.

The regular season slate features a total of 46 games, including 10 games at the UMaine Softball Complex. Additionally, the Black Bears will host the 2024 America East Softball Tournament in May.

Maine will kick off the 2024 season on Feb. 9 at the Kajikawa Classic, facing Weber State and Grand Canyon University on the first night of action. Games against Wisconsin and host-Arizona State will finish off the weekend on Feb. 10. The Black Bears will remain on the road for the Joan Joyce Classic (Feb. 16-17) and Blue Hen Invitational (March 1-3) before a spring break trip to Colorado State Rams Invitational (March 8-10). A doubleheader against Northern Colorado on March 12 wraps up the spring break trip and then Maine will play a single game at Boston College on March 19.
America East play begins with a series at UMBC (March 23-24). The Black Bears will hit the UMaine Softball Complex for the first time with a conference series against UAlbany (March 30-31), followed by a single game against Saint Joseph's (April 3) and series against Bryant (April 6-7).

Maine will have a road series at Binghamton (April 13-14) and then home series against UMBC (April 20-21). A doubleheader against Holy Cross (April 25) wraps up non-conference play. Maine closes out the regular season with two road series: at UMass Lowell (April 27-28) and at UAlbany (May 3-4).

The 2024 America East Tournament will begin on May 8 and conclude on May 11. The Black Bears last hosted the softball championship in 2010.
