Jordan Stevens and the University of Maine football team has released its schedule for the 2024 season.
The 2024 slate features five games at Alfond Stadium, four non-conference match-ups including a trip to Oklahoma, and the challenging eight Coastal Athletics Association dates.
Maine opens the season on Aug. 31 when it hosts Colgate at Alfond Stadium before a trip to Montana State to meet the Bobcats on Sept. 7. It will be Maine's first contest in history against Montana State.
The Black Bears open CAA play when they welcome Monmouth to Orono on Sept. 14 before a third non-conference date at Merrimack on Sept. 21.
CAA play rolls on with a trip to take on 2023 FCS Semifinal participant UAlbany on Sept. 28 before entering the bye week.
Maine returns to action with a trip to Delaware on Oct 12 and returns home to host Villanova on Oct. 19.
The Black Bears renew their longtime rivalry with the Rams when they hit the road to meet Rhode Island on Oct. 26.
Maine remains on the road for a trip to Norman where a showdown with new Southeastern Conference member Oklahoma awaits on Nov. 2 for Maine's final non-conference game.
The Black Bears host Bryant on Nov. 9 and close out the road portion of the schedule with a trip to Elon on Nov. 16.
The 111th Battle for the Brice-Cowell Musket takes place on Nov. 23 when Maine plays host to New Hampshire.
Season tickets for the 2024 season will go on sale on Jan. 30 and can be purchased at GoBlackBears.com/tickets, by phone at 207.581.BEAR, or in person at the UMaine Athletics Box Office located at Alfond Arena.
