Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine athletics department was saddened to learn of the passing of former Maine Football head coach, Buddy Teevens.

Teevens served as head coach of the Black Bears from 1985 to 1986, compiling a 13-9 overall mark at the helm at Maine.

Following his time at Maine, Teevens coached at Dartmouth, Tulane and Stanford. Most recently, Teevens served the past 17 seasons as the head coach at Dartmouth.
