ORONO, Maine. --Â Junior goaltender
Victor Ostman was selected as one of nine semifinalists for the Mike Richter Award, which were announced Wednesday by the
 Hockey
Commissioners Association (HCA). The Mike Richter Award honors the nation's top collegiate goaltender.
Three finalists will be announced in early March and the winner of this year's Mike Richter Award will be announced in April during the NCAA Frozen Four in Tampa.
Over his 26 appearances this season, Ostman has posted a 2.15 GAA, .922 save percentage, 12 wins, and four shutouts. The junior goaltender was named Hockey East's Goaltender of the Month for December, while also earning Hockey East Player of the Week honors for the week of January 30.Â
Ostman currently has 611 total saves and seven 30+ save performances. His season high 52 saves came in a 3-0 shutout victory at home over #17/#16 Providence. This is the first time Ostman has been named a semifinalist for the Mike Richter Award.
Jeremy Swayman was the recipient of the 2020 Mike Richter Award.
