Scouting the Big Green:

  • Dartmouth (3-11-1, 1-9-1 ECAC) has had a tough start to their year, picking up just three wins so far. However, they have faced seven ranked teams in their 15 games played.
  • Until Wednesday this week, Dartmouth was on a ten game losing streak. They pulled out a non-conference victory over Post this week, 7-1.
  • Senior defender Kenzie Bachelor leads the team in points, with 2g, 13a for 15 total. Five of those assists came on from Wednesday's win over Post.
  • Forward Jenna Donohue (14) and Laura Fuocco (12) are close behind in points.
  • Freshman goaltender Eleanor Rogers has started all 15 games for the Big Green, holding a 4.76 GA average and an .845 save percentage.
  • Over one-third (36%) of Dartmouth's goals have been on the scored on the Power Play.

Notes on the (RV) Black Bears:

  • The Black Bears are on a four-game win streak and currently are receiving votes in both National polls.
  • Maine's defeated a ranked-Vermont for the third straight time last weekend on Friday by a score of 3-2.
  • Rahel Enzler notched two goals, with Mira Seregely scoring the other and picking up an assist.
  • Julia Bachetti was in goal for all three wins over UVM, and stopped 29 shots Friday.
  • On Saturday, Maine shut out Holy Cross with a dominant 6-0 win. Julia Bachetti recorded her second career shutout, making 29 saves in the game.
  • Six different Black Bears scored in the 6-0 victory.
Alternate Plaid Jersey
  • On Saturday, the team will wear a unique, alternate third jersey for its game against Dartmouth on Dec. 9 at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine. The jerseys were made possible by a generous donation from KeyBank. The jersey features a buffalo plaid design, with Maine's iconic columbia blue prominently featured. The 'Maine Bear Head logo' is displayed on the front in the center of the jersey with columbia blue and navy blue piping on the arms and waist.
  • In addition to the support for the jerseys, KeyBank is donating 80 tickets for the Maine and Dartmouth game to the Make A Wish Maine, Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maine, Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Southern Maine, Woodfords Services, Girl Scouts of Maine and Olympia Snowe Women's Leadership Mentor-Mentee program.
