Field Hockey Delivers Shutout over Fairfield on Homecoming, 2-0

Orono, Maine - The University of Maine field hockey program shutout Fairfield, 2-0, on Homecoming for its seventh victory of the season.
Tereza Holubcova picked up her fourth goal of the season as she took it in herself off of a corner just outside of the circle before firing it into the back of the net midway through the third quarter of action.
Mallory Mackesy made it 2-0 Black Bears as she scored her 12th goal of the season off of a penalty corner. Madisyn Hartley (2) and Eloise Penty (1) picked up the assists on the play.
Jayde Temby registered her first shutout of her collegiate career as she saved all five shots she faced in the contest.
Maine (7-8, 3-3 AE) is back in action on Friday, Oct. 20 when it travels to Vermont. That game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
