Chestnut Hill, MA - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team falls to Boston College 4-1 in the Hockey East matchup.
First Goal (1-0 Maine): After a scoreless first period, Maine would strike first with a goal from Luisa Welcke. Kennedy Little would quickly flick the puck up to Lilli Welcke who then connected with her sister, Luisa Welcke who skated up the ice alongside Ava Stevenson to give Maine the two on one advantage where Luisa Welcke then rocketed the puck into the top right corner.
Second Goal (1-1 Boston College): Boston College quickly tied it up in the second period where Cayla Barnes found the back of the net. Abby Newhook and Hannah Bilka each picked up an assist.
Third Goal (1-2 Boston College): Just 2:02 after Boston College's first goal they found the back of the net again to take the lead. Abby Newhook nets it for the Eagles and Hannah Bilka grabs her second assist as well as Cayla Barnes.
Fourth Goal (1-3 Boston College): Boston College would score their third goal of the second period from Kelly Browne. Browne stole the puck from the Black Bears and found Gaby Roy who then passed it over to Katie Pyne who then found Browne again for the score.
Fifth Goal (1-4 Boston College): The next goal would come early in the third period from Kelly Browne, her second of the day. Gaby Roy picked up her second assist of the day.
Brooklyn Oakes ended with 24 saves in net for the Black Bears.
Abigail Levy secured 35 saves in net for the Eagles.
