Boston, MA - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team falls to the Northeastern Huskies in a Saturday night Hockey East matchup. 

First Goal (1-0 Northeastern): After a scoreless first period, Northeastern got the scoring going early in the second. The Huskies took their time passing the puck around Maine's net. Megan Carter got her stick on the puck and let it fly in for the opening score. Alina Mueller and Lily Yovetich each picked up an assist.

Second Goal (2-0 Northeastern): at 8:43 into the second period Northeastern secured their second goal. Megan Carter skated around with the puck as the Huskies were still on a power play. Carter then connected with Taze Thompson who took a shot in right as the power play ended. Megan Carter's stick found the puck as it was shot in and helped guide the puck in.

Third Goal (3-0 Northeastern): With less than a second left in the second period, the Huskies scored their third of the game. Maureen Murphy earned the score with assists from Chloe Aurard and Alina Mueller. 

Fourth Goal (4-0 Northeastern): 15:10 in the third period Lily Shannon snuck the puck in right in front of the net for the goal. Abbey Marohn and Taze Thompson each picked up an assist. 

Fifth Goal (5-0 Northeastern): Maureen Murphy scored her second of the day at 6:07 in the third period. Alina Mueller, trapped in the corner, passed the puck back to Maude Labelle-Poulin who connected with Murphy for the score.

Anna LaRose played the full 60 earning 34 saves in net for the Black Bears.
Gwyneth Phillips collected 21 saves in net for the Huskies.
