ORONO, ME - The University of Maine field hockey team will play host to Hofstra on Friday, Sep. 9 and Kent State on Sunday, Sep. 11. Hofstra will face off against Kent State in a neutral site game on Saturday, Sep. 10.
All three games will be streamed on America East TV, with the matchups being:
Friday, Sep. 9 - Maine vs Hofstra - 3:00 PM
Saturday, Sep.10 - Hofstra vs Kent State - 2:00 PM
Sunday, Sep. 11 - Maine vs Kent State - 2:30 PM
ABOUT THE BLACK BEARS
Maine is coming off of a weekend split at home where they beat Dartmouth on Friday, Sep. 2, 5-2 and lost to Quinnipiac on Sunday, Sep. 4, 1-0. The Black Bears had four different players find the back of the net in the 5-2 victory over Dartmouth, with
Chloe Walton and
Julia Ross netting their firsts of the season,
Bhreagh Kennedy netting her second of the season and
Mallory Mackesy netting a pair of goals for her second and third goals of the season.

Sydney Meader each picked up an assist during the contest as well.
Mia Borley held down the net for the Black Bears, allowing two goals and picking up four saves in the winning performance against Dartmouth. She also picked up a pair of saves on one goal against in the loss against Quinnipiac on Sunday.
PREVIEW: Hofstra
The last time the Black Bears faced the Pride of Hofstra was back in 2016, where the Black Bears picked up a 4-1 victory. Hofstra is coming off of a 0-2 weekend against Villinova and Yale, losing both contests by final scores of 3-2. Teresa Karoff comes into the matchup against the Black Bears as the points leader for her squad, having eight points on two goals and four assists. Cami Larsson ranks second on her squad with seven points and Adrianna Losiak ranks third with five points.
The Pride have split time in net up to this point in the season, with Merlijn van der Vegt (1.39 GAA) and Pieke Roos (1.35 GAA) seeing the majority of the time.
PREVIEW: Kent State
The last time the Black Bears faced off against the Golden Eagles was in 2021, where the Golden Eagles came away with the victory in double-overtime, 4-3.
Sydney Meader of the Black Bears scored one of the goals in the thrilling contest a season ago.
For the Golden Eagles, they are coming off of a victory over Bucknell on Sunday, Sep. 4, 3-2.
In the early going, Maia Sarrabayrouse leads the Golden Eagles in the points department, as she stands at three heading into the weekend, one goal and one assist. Augustina Florio, Jenna McCrudden and Alex Sacker round out the Golden Eagles who have found the back of the net this season. Cecile van Eijck has stood between the pipes for the majority of the time this season, compiling a 3.86 GAA.
