Box Score DEDHAM, MA. – The University of Maine field hockey team made it three-straight victories as they defeated the Huskies of Northeastern, 4-2.

Chloe Walton would get the scoring going in the afternoon matchup against the Huskies as she received a perfect set up by
Sydney Meader (3). For Walton, the score was her second of the season.

Mallory Mackesy would keep the offense going for the Black Bears as she scored on a diving play in front of the Huskies net to redirect a ball sent in by
Chloe Walton (2). For Mackesy, it was her team-leading fifth of the season.

The Black Bears would wrap up the first half with a goal by
Sydney Meader with 46 seconds remaining in the second quarter. Meader scored her fourth of the season as she won a one-on-one with the Huskies back, taking the ball off her stick and firing it past the Huskies goalkeeper.

Northeastern found their way onto the scoreboard as Mak Graves won a scrum in front of the net to get her squad on the board. For Graves, the score was her third of the season. Emmy Stubbs (1) picked up the assist on the score.

Mak Graves would make it a multi-goal game as she scored her second of the game on a set up by Emilia Adragna (2).

Following a penalty drawn by
Chloe Walton,
Poppy Lambert would cash in on the penalty stroke attempt to net her third goal of the season.

The Black Bears would close out the game and pick up their third straight victory and fourth overall, 4-2 over Northeastern.

Maine (4-3) returns to Orono on Friday, Sep. 23 as the New Hampshire Wildcats come to Maine to begin the Conference schedule.
