BRIGHTON, MA – The University of Maine baseball team collected 19 hits, 18 runs in a non-conference victory over the Boston College Eagles, 18-7 Tuesday night.

First Inning: Maine got out to a quick start offensively as
Joe Bramanti hit a sac-fly to center field, scoring
Jordan Schulefand.
Scout Knotts made it 4-0 Black Bears as he hit a home run to left field, scoring
Connor Goodman and
Quinn McDaniel.

Boston College would get one back as Joe Vetrano groundout to first base, scoring Travis Honeyman (leadoff triple).

Second Inning:
Colin Plante kept the bats going in the second frame for the Black Bears as he hit an RBI single to right field, scoring
Jake Marquez.

Third Inning: Maine's bats would continue their early game dominance as
Quinn McDaniel scored on a wild pitch.
Jeff Mejia would finish his at-bat following the wild pitch run, as he hit a double to left field, scoring
Joe Bramanti on the play.

Fourth Inning: Maine made it 4-straight innings putting runs on the board as
Connor Goodman plated a pair of runs with a single to left field.
Jordan Schulefand and
Colin Plante came in to score.
Scout Knotts would add two more for the Black Bears to make it 11-1 as he hit a single to center field, scoring
Connor Goodman and
Quinn McDaniel.

Luke Gold would get one back for the Eagles as he hit a solo home run to left field. Barry Walsh would bring home another run for his squad as he grounded out to shortstop, scoring Joe Vetrano.

Fifth Inning: The Maine offense would strike again in the top of the fifth as
Jordan Schulefand hit an RBI single to left field, scoring
Jake Marquez.
Joe Bramanti would add two more as he hit a 2-run double to left field, scoring
Colin Plante and
Jordan Schulefand.

Travis Honeyman would get two back for the Eagles as he hit a 2-run home run to left field, scoring Sam McNulty.

Sixth Inning:
Jake Marquez made it 15-5 Black Bears as he hit an RBI single to right field, scoring
Mike Pratte.
Connor Goodman added another run as he drew a bases-loaded walk. An error by the Eagles defense would result in
Jake Marquez scoring in the frame, making it a 17-5 Black Bear lead.

Cameron Leary got one back for the Eagles as he hit an RBI double to right center, scoring Daniel Baruch. Luke Gold made it a 17-7 game as he also hit an RBI double to right center, scoring Leary.

Ninth Inning:
Scout Knotts made it a multi-home run day as he hit his second of the contest, a solo shot to left field.
Matthew Pushard (3-1) picked up the win in a bullpen game for the Black Bears.

Max Gieg (4-2) took the loss for the Eagles.

Maine will stay on the road and face off against Hartford in a 3-game series to wrap up the regular season from May 19-21.
