BALTIMORE, MD – The University of Maine baseball team completed the weekend sweep of UMBC as they beat the Retrievers, 13-2 Sunday afternoon.

First Inning:
Jeremiah Jenkins got the game going early for the Black Bears as he hit his third home run of the season, this one being a solo shot to left field.

Second Inning:
Jordan Schulefand made it 2-0 Black Bears as he hit his first home run of the season, a no-doubt shot to left field.
Â
Third Inning:
Joe Bramanti keeps his incredible weekend going as he hit his third home run of the weekend, this one a two-run shot that brought home
Quinn McDaniel. The RBIs were Bramanti's 11
th and 12
th of the weekend.

Maine wasn't done scoring in the third as
Connor Goodman plated a pair of runs with a double.
Scout Knotts and
Ryan Turenne scored on the play.
Jordan Schulefand would add another pair of runs with a double of his own, bringing home
Jake Marquez and
Connor Goodman.

Jeff Mejia would bring in Schulefand on an RBI groundout.
Jeremiah Jenkins would then hit his second home run of the contest, a solo shot to right field.

Scout Knotts would cap off the 9-run inning for Maine with an RBI single to right field, bringing home McDaniel. Maine would be leading 11-0 in the third.

Fourth Inning:
Jeff Mejia gave Maine their 12
th run of the game as he hit an RBI single to right field, bringing home
Jordan Schulefand.

Fifth Inning:
Scout Knotts added another RBI to his day as he a single to left, bringing home
Quinn McDaniel.

Keegan Leffler's day came to an end after five innings. He allowed 13 runs (5 earned) on 16 hits, 5 walks and he struck out 2.

Brett Erwin's day came to an end after 5 innings, as he allowed no runs on 4 hits, 3 walks and he struck out 7.

Sixth Inning: UMBC got into the score column as Myles Nicholson drove in Luke Johnson on an RBI single to left.

Ninth Inning: Michael Cilio hit an RBI double to left field in bottom of the frame, driving home Eric Shandler.

Brett Erwin (1-3) picked up the win for the Black Bears.

Keegan Leffler (1-3) took the loss for UMBC.
Leif Bigelow picked up the 4-inning save, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, 1 walk and striking out 5.

Maine, who moves to 7-2 in America East play, returns home to play NJIT on the weekend of April 8-10. First pitch Friday is scheduled for 4:00 P.M.
