ORONO, ME – The University of Maine Black Bears walked it off in extras on Friday evening over UMass Lowell, winning 4-3.
 
Fourth Inning: Joe Bramanti got the Black Bears on the board first as he hit an RBI double to left field, bringing home Quinn McDaniel to make it 1-0 Black Bears.
 
Sixth Inning: Brandon Fish made it a 1-1 game as he hit an RBI triple to right field, bringing home Gerry Siracusa. Cedric Rose grabbed the lead one batter later for the Riverhawks as he hit an RBI single to center field, Bringing home Brandon Fish.
 
Quinn McDaniel answered in the bottom of the frame as he hit an RBI single to left field, bringing home Connor Goodman to tie up the game at 2-2.
 
Trevor Labonte's day came to an end after 7 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits, 3 walks and 8 strikeouts.
 
LJ Keevan's day came to an end after 7 innings of work, allowing 2 earned runs on 5 hits, 2 walks and striking out 6.
 
Ninth Inning: Following a triple by Ryan Proto, Fritz Genther laid down a squeeze bunt to allow Proto to score on the play, grabbing the lead at 3-2.
 
Ryan Turenne then re-tied the game up for the Black Bears in the bottom of the frame as he hit an RBI single to the right side, bringing home Dylan McNary.
 
Eleventh Inning: Ryan Turenne won it for the Black Bears as he hit a walk-off single to right field, scoring Quinn McDaniel.
 
Colin Fitzgerald (1-2) picks up the win in relief for the Black Bears, allowing 1 earned run over 4 innings of work, allowing 4 hits, 3 walks and striking out 5.
 
Henry Funaro (0-1) picks up the loss for UMass Lowell, going 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing 1 run on 1 hit, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.
 
Maine continues its weekend series against the Riverhawks on Saturday, April 23 at 1:00 P.M.
