PREVIEW: Men's Basketball Hosts UAlbany in The Pit

ORONO, ME - The University of Maine men's basketball team will host the UAlbany Great Danes Wednesday night at 7:00 P.M.

A LOOK AT THE BLACK BEARS:

The Black Bears will be looking to make it 2-in-a-row as the UAbany Great Danes come to The Pit.

Maks Klanjscek has been getting it done on both the offensive end and the Defensive end for the Black Bears as he is currently ranked 25th in America East conference play for scoring per game at 9.5. He is adding to his stellar conference play by ranking 21st in steals per game at 1.0.

Ja'Shonté Wright-Mcleish has been another two-way factor for the Black Bears, as he ranks381th in points per game at 7.8 and 19th in steals per game at 1.0 in conference games.

Stephane Ingo has been a force in the paint for the Black Bears defensively, as he is swatting away 2.2 shots per game.

A LOOK AT UALBANY:

The Great Dane are coming off of a 70-65 victory over the UNH Wildcats.

Jamal Horton (24 pts, 5 reb) lead the way offensively for UAlbany. Matt Cerruti (13 pts) chippped in offensively to help the UAlbany get the victory.

Horton and Cerruti have been getting it done all season for the Great Danes, as their scoring averages (12.3 & 11.4) for UAlbany.

HISTORY AGAINST UALBANY:

This matchup will be the 39th meeting all-time and second of the 2021-22 season for the Great Danes and Black Bears. Maine took the first matchup against UAlbany back on Feb. 9, a 73-63 victory for the Black Bears. Maks Klanjscek (21 pts, 5-5 3pt) was unstoppable offensively for the Black Bears while Vukasin Masic (15pts, 7 reb, 6a, 0 turnovers) and Byron Ireland (11 pts) were keys to the Black Bears victory.
