Orono, ME - The University of Maine men's basketball team is set to take on Harvard University on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at the Cross Insurance Center.

HISTORY:
This will be the tenth meeting all-time between these two programs, with Harvard holding the all-time record at 7-2. This is the first meeting since the 2019-20 season between these two programs.
ABOUT THE BLACK BEARS:
Maine is coming off of a defeat at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes back on Dec. 21, 95-61.
Kellen Tynes led the Black Bears in scoring during that matchup as he produced 19 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the field. He also dished out six assists. Gedi Juozapaitis turned in a solid night from the field as he dropped 16 points, including three three-pointers.
The story in the early going of the season for the Black Bears has been their high steal totals, led by Kellen Tynes. Tynes is currently ranked second in the country in both steals per game (3.17) and total steals (38).
Tynes has been one of the breakout stars of the America East Conference so far into the season as he ranks in the top six in the conference in scoring, field goal %, assists, blocks and steals.
Jaden Clayton ranks first in the America East in assists per game at a 4.5 per game clip. He also ranks second in steals per game at 1.8, trailing only Tynes.
The Black Bears are the 21st ranked team in the country when it comes to stealing the ball, averaging 9.8 steals per contest.
Maine has been one of the most efficient offensives in the country when it comes to field goal percentage. The Black Bears are burying their shots at a 47.3% clip on the season, which ranks them 69th in the country.
ABOUT HARVARD:
Harvard is coming off of a loss against #4 Kansas back on Dec. 22, 54-68.
Chris Ledlum led the Crimson in scoring on the night as he turned in a 17-point performance. He also led his squad with nine rebounds on the night.
Evan Nelson (10) and Justice Ajogbor (8) rounded out the top-three scorers in the losing effort.
