Walton Joins Teammate Poppy Lambert as All-Americans for the 2022 Season

Orono, ME - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced on Tuesday afternoon that University of Maine forward, Chloe Walton was named an NFHCA Third-Team All-American for her incredible 2022 season.

Walton, a native of North Vancouver, Canada, found herself as the lead forward on one of the most offensively dominant programs in the country in 2022. She scored 11 total goals, which tied her for fifth in the conference, on a Maine offense that ranked third in goals per game at 3.42 a game. Her offensive presence over the final nine games of the season, which had her scoring nine goals and dishing out three assists, helped lead Maine to their first perfect conference record in program history at 8-0. Walton also dished out six assists on the season.

Walton's Third Team All-American Honors come after being named to the NFHCA All-Region First Team, the America East Offensive Player of the Year, the America East All-Conference First Team and the America East All-Tournament Team.

Walton joins Poppy Lambert with All-American Honors for the 2022 season. This is the first time in program history that two Black Bears have earned All-American Honors in the same season.
