Orono, ME - The University of Maine men's basketball team is set to face off against the Merrimack College Warriors on Sunday, Dec. 11.

HISTORY:
This will be the third matchup between these two programs, with both sides tied at a 1-1 head-to-head record.
ABOUT THE BLACK BEARS:
The Black Bears are coming off of a win against UMaine-Augusta on Wednesday night, 103-67. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Black Bears, with Maine having lost their past three contests by a combined 13 points.
Peter Filipovity turned in a double-double performance as he scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The double-double was his second of the season.
Gedi Juozapaitis (14), Jaden Clayton (14), Ja'Shonté Wright-McLeish (13) and Kellen Tynes (12) all got into
double-digits in scoring in the blowout win for the Black Bears.
ABOUT MERRIMACK:
The Warriors are coming off of their second win of the season, a 82-23 victory over UNE on Friday, Dec. 9.
Ziggy Reid led the Warriors in scoring on the night as he scored 19 points on a nearly perfect shooting night of eight for nine from the field.
Jordan Minor (5 of 7) got into double-digits in scoring for his squad as he scored 10 in the winning performance.
The Warriors had contributions from 11 different players in the scoring column during their second win of the season.
