Lowell, Mass. -- The University of Maine women's outdoor track & field team placed eighth with 54 points in the 2021 America East Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The Black Bears registered several top performances on day two, including four top-three showings in individual events.
Anna Schumann posted a runner-up finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.13m, just .01m short of her personal record high.
Emma White followed Schumann, placing eighth in the event at 11.54m, while Oliviah Dambouse added a 10th place finish in the event at 11.44m.
Emily Labbe also turned in a second place finish, crossing the line as the runner-up in the 100m hurdles with a final time of 14.59. Labbe's time, a personal record for the freshman, was the eighth fastest mark in Maine school history in the event.
Allison Fayard turned in a third place showing in the hammer with a personal record and the eighth longest throw in school history at 49.84m.
Erica Magnuson placed fifth in the hammer with a throw of 47.75m and added a third place finish in the discus with a personal record high mark of 42.87m. Her mark places her third on Maine's all-time top ten list in the discus event.
Katherine Cowan finished fifth in the heptathlon after tallying 4,264 points over the two day competition.
Rebekah Hunnewell-Dunphe was Maine's top placer in the shot put, finishing 10th with a throw of 11.70m.
Emma Jourdain also added a top-10 finish, placing 10th in the 5000m after crossing the line at 18:15.72.
Maine's 4x100m relay team of
Syeira New,
Jessica Kroushl, Schumann, and
Darcy Cochran finished fifth with a time of 48.83 while the team of New,
Amelia Concannon, Cochran, and
Tegan Morrison placed eighth in the 4x400m relay at 4:10.66.
