Orono, Maine -- University of Maine freshman guard Bailey Wilborn has been named the America East Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.

Wilborn registered back-to-back career-high scoring outings with 12 points in Maine's wins over Yale and Boston University. In both games, Wilborn sparked Maine off the bench by hitting four triples. In a 2-1 week for the Black Bears, Wilborn averaged 9.0 points per game while shooting 41-percent from 3-point range.

Wilborn and the Black Bears returns to action on Friday, Nov. 26 when they travel to take on Army at 3 p.m.
