BOULDER, Colorado -- The University of Maine men's basketball team was defeated by the University of Colorado, 90-46, on Monday evening at the CU Events Center.

Vaksin Masic led the way for Maine as the guard finished with 11 points and four assists.
Chris Efretuei added 10 points, six rebounds, and two blocks, while
Kristians Feierbergs chipped in nine points and three rebounds.

Maine saw eight of its players find their way into the scoring column as the Black Bears finished the contest 16-of-49 from the floor while hitting 9-of-15 free throws. On the boards, Maine grabbed 23 total rebounds and blocked two Buffalo shots. The Black Bears also held two separate leads.

At the 10:50 mark of the first half, the Black Bears held a 13-12 lead over the Buffaloes.
Chris Efretuei's six points and massive presence in the paint stifled the PAC-12 team's rhythm.

To end the first half, Colorado went on a 34 to 16 run. Maine trailed 46-29 at the break.
Vukasin Masic and Efretuei combined for 17 of the Black Bears' 29 points.

Maine came out shooting in the second half as they pulled to within 12 points in the opening minutes. It was as close as the Black Bears would get. Colorado pulled away in the second half and won by a final score of 90-46.

The Black Bears are back in action on Friday when they travel to take on Fort Kent at 7:00 p.m. in the pit.
