- The Black Bears are coming off of two consecutive ties, a 1-1 draw against Hartford on Sunday and a 0-0 draw at Binghamton. Abby Kraemer lead the way with a goal in the Hartford game.
- Maine topped Stony Brook 4-1 in their lone conference victory. Abby Kraemer led the way with two goals and an assist. Emma Donovan and Tegan Morrison each tallied goals as well.Â
- Maine lost five conference matchups, falling to UNH 1-0, UAlbany 1-0 , Vermont 2-0 at home and NJIT on the road 1-0. Maine lost 1-0 to UMBC in their conference opener.Â
- Delaney Labonte scored her second goal of the season in Maine's 1-1 tie against Marist.
- Emma Donovan scored her first goal of the season in Maine's 4-1 loss against Quinnipiac.Â
- Abby Kraemer and Kayla Kraemer both scored their first career goals in Maine's season opening 2-0 victory over Sacred Heart.Â
- Tiana Bucknor scored her first career goal in the Black Bears' 1-1 tie at Merrimack College.Â
A Bit About the RiverhawksÂ
·      UMass Lowell was the first seed in the North section of America East in the 2020-2021 season, going 4-0 in conference play. The team fell 1-0 to Binghamton in the semifinals. They were 5-2-1 overall.Â
·      The Riverhawks return Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year, Taylor Burgess and Defender of the Year, Dunja Mostarac.Â
·      UMass Lowell is led by seven seniors and a graduate student.Â

About Head Coach Scott AtherleyÂ
Now in his 29th season as a head coach in the NCAA,Â
Scott Atherley is entering his 23rd season as the Maine women's soccer program's head coach.
Â
Atherley has led the Black Bears 13 of the last 18 America East postseason tournaments.
Â
In 1993, Atherley became head coach of the UMaine men's team and took on head coaching duties of the women's team in 1999, coaching both squads that year.
Â
Atherley was a four-year letter-winner at UMaine between 1984 and 1987, serving as captain during his final season.
