BOSTON -- The University of Maine men's ice hockey team was defeated by the Boston University Terriers, 5-1, on Saturday Afternoon in Walter Brown Arena.

First Goal (1-0 Boston University): Dylan Peterson gave the Terriers at 1-0 lead 6:20 into the first period. David Farrance, who tallied two points yesterday, dished out the assist on Peterson's early tally.

Second Goal (2-0 Boston University): On their first chance with an extra man, the Terriers extended their lead to two. Jay O'Brien lit the lamp on the power play. Once again, Farrance was credited with an assist.

Third Goal (3-0 Boston University): After forcing a turnover deep in the Maine zone, Robert Mastrosimone found the back of the net. Unassisted, the forward used the back hand to pop the bottle and add to the Terriers' lead.

Fourth Goal (4-0 Boston University): With Maine trying to apply pressure, the Terriers countered with a 3-on-1 rush. Luke Tuch received a pass from Farrance on the breakaway. BU's top line added another goal, extending their lead to four.

Fifth Goal (4-1 Boston University):
Adam Dawe scored the Black Bears' goal late the third period. The forward wrapped the puck around the Terriers' net and in.

Sixth Goal (5-1 Boston University): Jay O'Brien scored his second goal of the afternoon. This time it was an empty net and was the final goal of the Hockey East contest.

Notes: Victor Ostman stopped 20 shots for the Black Bears before
Matthew Thiessen saved one shot over the final six minutes. Drew Commesso tallied 30 saves for Boston University.

Maine went 1 for 5 on their power play opportunities, as the Terriers were 1-4 on their player advantages.

The Black Bears blocked 11 shots as a team.
